Deep woods

I just finished my very first amber ring & Im so proud of it! :)
I used to work in a really cool jewelry store in the mall called White Buffalo. We had so many amber rings, but they were never big enough for me. So when I found this gorgeous, giant, amber cab I decided it was finally time to make something for myself. It took a whole season of Criminal Minds, 10 tiny leaves and a lot of patience to make. & Since my microwave is broken it was a pain in the butt to oxidize. But it came out beautifully. Im thinking about making more in the future.

Old New Blue

I made this for my friend as her wedding gift. I hope she enjoys it. Shhh don't tell her about it though...I have not gotten the chance to mail it to her. I made it using a gorgeous antique glass button and sterling silver. It has the date of her wedding stamped on the back.

June, You cant come soon enough.

41 Days and counting & I'll be back in the place my heart loves. Enjoying the outdoors. Swimming, canoeing, gardening, cooking, camping, hiking, antiquing. And best of all teaching youngsters how to live sustainably. I don't want to wait anymore; I've been counting down since last year...
If you'd like to find out more about the camp visit here.

I finished my Indie free spirits Etsy Team challenge. I suppose im ready to put it all together now.
Heres a sneak peak...(update: heres the listing: http://www.etsy.com/listing/47473139/picnic-at-hanging-rock-indie-free)

“Horror need not always be a long-fanged gentleman in evening clothes or a dismembered corpse or a doctor who keeps a brain in his gold fish bowl. It may be a warm sunny day, the innocence of girlhood and hints of unexplored sexuality that combine to produce a euphoria so intense it becomes transporting, a state beyond life or death. Such horror is unspeakable not because it is gruesome but because it remains outside the realm of things that can be easily defined or explained in conventional ways.”
